Antique Chinese Altar Table (3140), Manchurian Ash, Circa 1800-1849
This Authentic Antique Chinese Altar Table is A Rare Find. The top of the table is made with one single plank of Manchurian Ash (Fraxinus mandschurica) wood in about two inch thick. Natural Wood color with beautiful wood grain. The intricate carving of "flying dragon" design decorate both the front and the back of the table. (The table can be used from both sides) The side panels of the table is nicely carved with traditional Chinese "flower and vase" design. The table is crafted with wooden pegs and tenon structure; which is the very traditional craftsmanship for furniture making in ancient China. Can be used as Library Table, Hallway Table or even a Buffet Table. Excellent condition. Circa early of 19th century. Original patina and wear. (The photos here show all the sides of the table)
