This authentic antique Chinese occasional table was originally made as a low-legged study desk for using on top of traditional Chinese "Kang". The table is handcrafted in elegant Ming style with "horse-hoof" legs and straight lines. The intricately embossed hardware is made from Nickel Silver. The table is handcrafted and structured with wooden pegs and a tenon structure, which is the very traditional craftsmanship for furniture making in ancient China. The table is perfect for a coffee table, TV stand, or many other uses. (the back of the table is in excellent condition) Circa the early 19th century. Made from a core of elmwood with beautiful wood grain, the cabinet is very solid and has been kept in excellent condition. Original patina and wear.
