Antique Chinese Altar Table (5088), Cunninghamia wood, Circa 1800-1849

This Antique Chinese Altar Table is Circa in the early 19th century. The "relief" carving of the "dragon" design ornately decorates the front of the table. Traditional Chinese "Auspicious" patterns decorate the back of the table (the table can be displayed from both sides) The side panels of the table are intricately carved with "flower  and lotus" design. The table is crafted with wooden pegs and a tenon structure; which is the very traditional craftsmanship for furniture making in ancient China. Made of Cunninghamia wood (trees in cypress family), the table has great details of handwork. Excellent condition.  Original patina and wear.
