This antique Chinese Desk was made in elegant Ming Style furniture with traditional "horse-hoof" legs. The intricate carving of a "dragon-scroll" design decorated the bottom front sides of the desk. The copper hardware is uniquely crafted. There is additional storage space underneath the drawers forms a unique hidden chamber. The desk is handcrafted and structured with wooden pegs and tenons structure-the very traditional craftsmanship for furniture making in ancient China. Circa early 19th century. Original patina and wear. Made from elmwood with beautiful natural wood grain, the desk is very solid and has been kept in excellent condition.
