This authentic antique Ming cabinet is known as "Wan-Li Cabinet" in China. The style of the cabinet is originated from early Ming Dynasty. The cabinet like this is a very rare find in today's market. The cabinet was originally collected from a Buddhist’s temple in Shanxi Providence,China, and was used as a Buddhist's Scriptures Cabinet (佛经柜). The intricate carvings "Dragons and Deers" design decorate the display top and bottom apron of the cabinet. The carvings are very delicate and three-dimensional. The cabinet is made from Elm wood with beautiful natural wood grain. Single planks of wood are used for making the front doors and side panels. The detailed handwork of this cabinet show great workmanship of furniture making in the old days. The cabinet is handcrafted and structured with wooden pegs and tenon structure, which is the very traditional craftsmanship for furniture making in ancient China. Copper hardware.
