Antique Chinese Screen Panel (3410), Cunninghamia Wood, Circa 1800-1849

This antique Chinese Screen Panels was originally made for inside window decoration in Buddhist Temples,(like shutters). The Panel was collected from demolished Buddhist Temples along the Yangtze River area.  Handcrafted with a traditional Chinese design motif. The screen panel is hand-painted in two color tone to highlight the intricate carvings.  The panel is handcrafted and structured with wooden pegs and a tenon structure. Circa early of 19th century. Original patina and wear. Made from Cunninghamia wood (trees in cypress family), the panel is very solid and have been kept in excellent condition.
