Antique Chinese Altar Cabinet (5201), Circa 1800-1849
This Authentic Antique Chinese Altar Cabinet is handcrafted in elegant Ming Style with straight lines. Traditional Chinese design uniquely carved to decorate the front of the cabinet. There is a "secret compartment" underneath the two drawers (the place for storing valuables in the old days). Copper hardware. The cabinet is handcrafted and structured with wooden pegs and tenon structure, which is the very traditional craftsmanship for furniture making in ancient China. Can be used as Low Small Coffee Table, or any occasional table or even a solid bench. Circa early of 19th century. Original patina and wear. Made from Elm wood with fine wood grain, the cabinet is very solid and has been kept in excellent condition.
