The style of this Chinese antique Altar cabinet has great influence of Mongolian furniture during Qing Dynasty (Qing Dynasty in China was ruled by Mongolian people). The intricate relief carvings of traditional Chinese "Kirin" design decorate the drawers of the cabinet. The spandrels and the bottom apron of the cabinet are ornately carved with "double dragon and scroll" design. The carvings of this cabinet are very delicate and three dimensional. The detailed handwork in making this cabinet show great craftsmanship. The cabinet is handcrafted and structured with wooden pegs and tenon structure,  which is the very traditional craftsmanship for furniture making in ancient China. Original Wear and Patina. Handmade from Elm wood with beautiful wood grain, the cabinet is very solid and has been kept in excellent condition. Circa early of 19th century.
