A Rare Find Temple Shrine (5500), Extra Large, Circa 1800-1849
This authentic antique temple shrine is a rare find masterpiece of 19th century Chinese Antique furniture. The shrine has six panels of doors. The panels are intricately carved with traditional Chinese "plum tree" design with detailed carving lines. The panel doors are made with wooden hinge and can be open and removed easily. The original copper hardware is crafted into unique design. The stand and the supporting poles of the shrine are made from Phoebe wood and the rest of the shrine are made from "Du wood" (a fine grade of wood grew in China). The rooftop of the shrine can be removed. The shrine is handcrafted and structured with wooden pegs and tenon structure, which is the very traditional craftsmanship for furniture making in ancient China. Original patina and wear. The shrine is very solid and has been kept in excellent condition.)
