This Antique Chinese Altar Table is Circa in the early 19th century. Traditional Chinese "Auspicious" patterns decorate the front of the table. The side panels of the table are intricately carved with a "Pair of Phoenix" design. The ornate carvings are double-sided and can be viewed from both sides. The wood plank used for the surface of this table is a single plank of wood and is more than two inches thick. The table is crafted with wooden pegs and tenon structure; which is the very traditional craftsmanship for furniture making in ancient China. Made with the core of Elmwood, the table is very heavy and solid. Excellent condition. Original patina and wear.
